UAE announced that they will invest $163 billion in renewable energy project

Taipo News: Recently, UAE announced that they will invest $163 billion in renewable energy project,which will leave half of the electricity demand powered by renewable energy.
The UAE is a major oil exporter,but they are reducing dependence on fossil fuels,and building nuclear power facilities.
UAE prime minister Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum said,”Balance economic demand and environment goal is our purpose”.
UAE announced 2050 year’s energy strategy plan on 10th,Jan,which shows that UAE energy structure will include 44% renewable energy, 38% natural gas,12% clean fuel and 6% nuclear power by 2050 year.
”This plan aiming to promote 40% clean energy use efficiency and increase it market scale up to 50% ” Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum said.
On June,2016,Dubai announced the plan to build one 1000MW solar power station by 2030.And they also plan to implement 25% electricity demand powered by renewable energy.
On 2013, Abu Dhabi opened the world largest CSP power station, which power capacity can supply for 20,000 home. Besides, Korea enterprises are constructing 4 nuclear reactors in Abu Dhabi, which estimate will generate electricity 1400MW.
